Vienna - Post Report Question and Answers

What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections? How easy/difficult is it to travel to this city/country?

I'm from New York. It's easy enough to get home. It's a transatlantic flight, but I can fly direct. - Sep 2022


From Canada, pre-COVID direct flights to Montreal and Toronto (approx 8 hours) or connecting through Frankfurt (~9 hours) were usually the best options. - Sep 2021


We are from Washington, D.C. Direct flights from Dulles to Vienna daily. Cheaper flights with connections can be made through major European cities. - Feb 2019


There are direct flights (about 10 hours) from Washington Dulles airport to Vienna with Austrian Airlines. They also have direct flights from NYC, Chicago, Miami, and LA. Tons of carriers provide one-stop travel to/from Vienna and multiple US cities. - Jul 2018


Washington, DC. Direct flights of about 9 hours are available into IAD. - Nov 2017


Asia is my home. It's hard to get there because of limited direct 10-hour flights to Bangkok which cost around $1,000 US round-trip. Thai is much more expensive and has an extra flight through Frankfurt (then Austrian Airways to Vienna). - Jun 2016
