What kind of car do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car do you advise not to bring?
Do not bring your new BMW or Mercedes. Bring a VW or Toyota something or other. You can find service / repair for most makes, but the roads are in poor repair, and as mentioned above, plan on having an accident or two. Don't bring a car that you don't consider disposable. - Jan 2007
