What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?
Because the Embassy is hard to staff with USDHs, there are plenty of full and part time EFM positions at the Embassy. Clearance process can be lengthy, though. - Sep 2022
Lots of EFM jobs at the US Embassy. You should have no problem finding one. I don't know about other Embassies. Outside of embassies, the formal job market is not great. There are however a lot of volunteer opportunities if your family members feel like it. - Jun 2021
