Mediocre for single people as studying is the main way people spend their off time; there is almost no nightlife and it's a family-centric atmosphere. Kansas City offers more social life and things to do for both singles and couples, but the commute to Leavenworth is a bit lengthy for living that far afield, though visiting on weekends is great.
