The food in this region is absolutely top notch. Emili-Romagna is the so-called 'bread basket' of Italy, so much of the pasta originates from there, as does Parmigiano-Reggiano, Parma ham, balsamic vinegar, bolognese sauce... and may other things you've never heard of! - Sep 2014
