Protect yourself from mosquitoes (dengue, chikungunya). Clean any small cut very thoroughly as the sea water contributes to infections. Any medical emergency will get you med-evac'ed. There is a local hospital but it lacks doctors and the equipment is scarce. One private clinic where we go for our medical needs. One dentist. Most people go to the Philippines or Hawaii for medical check-up. They are regular medical missions organized by the local NGOs. - Apr 2014
