Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?
Bring an unlocked phone and buy a pre-paid sim card. There is no 3G service here but you can subscribe a Wi-Fi hot spot access for a monthly fee. Voice is a bit expensive but text messages are very cheap. - Apr 2014
