What do people who suffer from environmental or food allergies need to know?

I've had fewer issues with allergies here than in my previous posts. Most food products are from Europe so they're well-labeled. Many local dishes contain gluten, fish, and/or nuts. - Feb 2024


Dust might be the most significant challenge. The islands are dry most of the year, although the air is humid. You live on a desert island where it rarely rains, but is still pretty humid year-round, ie. no Sahel or southern/eastern African dry air but not lush tropics either. - Aug 2023


We have environmental allergies in our house. We made sure to bring all the medicine we need. The biggest allergens are going to be the acacia trees and dust. Rainy season is only in August/September, so there isn't anything else really blooming during the year. - Sep 2018
