Is this a good city for LGBT expatriates? Why or why not?
Laos people are pretty tolerant, but Vientiane is not a big city, so the LGBTQ+ community is small and quiet. There is more of a scene in Luang Prabang. - Dec 2024

In 2012, Laos held its first gay pride event. Homosexuality is legal in Laos. We did not witness any problems for gay or lesbian expats. - Jan 2014
