High speed, reliable internet is one of the joys of living in this information obsessed town. My 10Mps cable internet (with RCN) costs me only US$40 per month. And Starbucks, many cafes, restaurants and even parks are wifi. This makes meeting friends for coffee a challenge as you can't get a seat (all those folks on laptops).However, if you want to sit in the sun surfing free internet on a sunny spring day just go to Dupont Circle park.
