What kind of car do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car do you advise not to bring?
We've got a Nissan Quest. Almost impossible to get parts for it. Local mechanics usually jury-rig fittings for us when we need it. Labor and mechanics though are generally very very cheap. Insurance is not what you've come to expect in the US. You insure the car, not the drivers, and the cost is probably less than $100 a year. - Dec 2006
