Are local buses, trams, trains or taxis safe and affordable?
Affordable, but uncommon. An extensive rail network has decayed as cars became common to most families. Only San Juan has a metro and its just one line. Uber only in SJ. All are safe. - May 2023
Both safe and affordable. We have used taxis for getting to and from the airport. Make sure they turn on the meter or agree on a price ahead of time. - Jun 2013
