Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?
Being in the U.S., every cell phone company and then some are here. However, we came fully intending to use our cells for our long distance and only use a land line for the internet and satelite. We soon learned that was not completely possible. Everything down here is built out of concrete block, and reception inside homes is hit and miss. - Mar 2008
