There are two vets I know. One deals with the farm animals and the other deals with the small animals. Both are very qualified. Animals are not held in quite the same high regard as in the States, although most are cared for to a very acceptable standard. Dogs roam the streets fairly independently quite often and the dog poo on the footpath is common. - Feb 2009
