Belfast - Post Report Question and Answers
What kind of car do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car do you advise not to bring?
Anything, but I'd recommend bringing something with good gas mileage and perhaps something that is a bit smaller. Ford Focus and Toyotas are common here. - Nov 2014

Cars from the U.S. may have to be fitted with special-headlights etc. to meet annual MOT testing requirements (required for any car over five years old).While plenty of people have relatively large cars, small ones are easier, particularly given the size of the parking spaces. - Aug 2007
