What are some typical ways to socialize, either with local people or with other expatriates? Are there groups or clubs that you can recommend?
The same things you do in any Western city... There is a LOT of drinking here, it's difficult to do anything social with a Northern Irish person that doesn't involve some amount of alcohol. - Nov 2014
