Kolkata - Post Report Question and Answers

Is this a "shopping post"? Are there interesting handicrafts, artwork, antiques, or other items that people typically buy there?

While shopping in Kolkata pretty much sucks, you can still purchase incredible fabrics, textiles, shawls etc. And on trips to Delhi or Mumbai or other places you will find furniture and other interesting stuff. There is lots to buy, but not in Kolkata. - Jun 2009
